Deleting your account

You can delete your Kenna account and everything in it, at any time.

In the app

Settings → Delete my account. You'll be asked to confirm. Your account and all recorded check-ins, flares, patterns and settings will be permanently deleted. This cannot be undone. Signing in again will not restore anything.

By email

Email hello@getkenna.app from the address on your account if you need help. We verify ownership through secure sign-in and explicit confirmation, not just the sender address. An email by itself does not authorise deletion. You can sign in and confirm deletion here without installing the app. If you have forgotten your password, that page also offers a password-reset email.

What gets deleted

When you confirm deletion while signed in, your active account, name and email address, recorded check-ins, flares, patterns, management items and settings are permanently deleted immediately. This cannot be undone. Signing in again will not restore anything.

What we keep

Backups and hosting logs are separate from deletion of the active database. A confirmation-email address is temporarily retained for no more than 12 delivery attempts or 24 hours, whichever limit is reached first. Authentication security counters have a one-hour retention threshold and a one-minute cleanup schedule. See the privacy policy for these separate records and provider-retention details.

Kenna removes its cached export files when you sign out or delete your account in the app. Copies you have saved or shared elsewhere are not removed. Another signed-in device clears its local session and cached data when it next contacts the server and receives an invalid-session response; an offline device cannot be cleared remotely.
